STS Payments joins forces with MagTek at RBTE 2016

As thousands flocked to Kensington Olympia for the annual Retail Business Technology Expo (RBTE) some of STS Payments’ developers were ready and waiting to welcome visitors to the MagTek stand - where we were demonstrating our G8:Enterprise solution using the DynaPro payment terminal.

The DynaPro is a secure PIN-entry device (PED) offering a full point-to-point encrypted (P2PE) integration. It is a comprehensive, end-to-end security solution, preventing card data breaches without compromising the speed and convenience of transactions. The data is encrypted on the device, and decrypted by the gateway.

Using G8:Enterprise running on a PC connected to the DynaPro, STS were able to perform payment transactions using an example POS running on a tablet, which communicated with G8 via Wi-Fi.

Howard Buck, Development Leader at STS and one of our staff members on the stand says, “We were keen to add support for the MagTek DynaPro PED because it uses open encryption standards, meaning the gateway doesn’t need to purchase a proprietary decryption appliance or licence special software to decrypt data. We wanted to demonstrate to visitors of RBTE that when combined with STS’ G8 payment application, it makes it an ideal solution for customers, especially gateways and PSPs wanting to offer a P2PE device to their merchants without the additional costs of decryption software.”

RBTE was a very successful event for both organisations, and provided a great opportunity for STS and MagTek to announce their partnership, and demonstrate how we are working together to provide secure P2PE solutions for merchants.
