Tower Bridge, the gateway to London, provided the unique backdrop for the launch of STS' new innovative EFT application, G8way. In attendance were over 70 international payments and retail professionals helping STS celebrate both G8way and the pending festive season.

Global retailers and application providers are the big winners from STS' recent partnership announcement with Alaric.

Alaric, a leading supplier of advanced technology payments products and services, has chosen STS' new EFT application, G8way, to integrate into its Authentic product - a modern EFT authorisation and routing system for merchants, acquirers and issuers of credit, debit, prepaid and private label cards.

STS are pleased to announce our recent partnership with Tailwind Solutions. By integrating our SmartNS solution to their unique PoS Paddle(TM), together we are able to offer retailers a quick, cost effective way to incorporate contactless card readers at their point of sales.

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Wendy Dobson as Director for Business Development (EMEA). In her new role Wendy will be responsible for developing product strategy and leading future product launches. She will utilise her extensive industry experience to identify opportunities in Europe in response to the growing demand for a rationalised payments infrastructure.

Recently at a hotel car park in the Midlands I was queuing to pay at a self-service machine. Bewildered of Birmingham was in front. They'd put in their card and were waiting for the usual PIN prompt, but nothing was happening. Or so they thought. The machine was actually waiting to be told that a card had been put in! I do not jest, on the screen was a button marked: "I've inserted a card". Adds a whole new meaning to self-service.
